• Is fairly traded and all parties involved in the supply chain are treated and paid fairly
• Is manufactured to minimise the impact that the raw materials and production processes have on the environment
• Is produced using sustainable or recycled raw materials
• Does not release harmful chemicals during the manufacturing process
• Is easily recycleable or biodegradeable at the end of its useful life
• Is manufactured locally and / or transported efficiently
